Henan University announced its launching ceremony for its Centre for Aggregation-Induced Emission Nanobionics Research Launching ceremony for Henan University’s Centre for Aggregation-Induced Emission Nanobionics Research was announced on 13th April in Kaifeng. Research expertise including Fellow of Chinese Academy of Science (FCAS), Prof. Ben Zhong Tang from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Prof. Deyue Yan (FCAS) from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Researchers Xuesi Chen and Jun Lin from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Prof. Jiandong Ding from Fudan University, Researcher Mingyuan Gao from Institute of Chemistry, CAS, Prof. Chunhai Fan from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Prof. Zhiyuan Zhong from Suzhou University, Researchers Xingjie Liang from National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, Prof. Zhihong Zhang from Huazhong University of Science and Technology attended the ceremony followed by research proposals evaluations. Vice-president of Henan University, Xianxing Liu, Officers from Department of Discipline Construction and School of Life Sciences were also presented at the launch. A warm and hearty welcome opening remark was delivered by Vice-president Xianxing Liu for the participation and support from all expertise. This gathering aimed to unite the outstanding research talents from State Key Laboratory of Cotton Biology, Key Lab for Special Functional Materials, Ministry of Education, International Joint Centre for Biomedical Innovation, as well as the internationally-renowned Research Laboratory of Aggregation-Induced Emission lead by Prof. Ben Zhong Tang, to explore the exciting interdisciplinary research of nanobionics. The Management Committee and functional structure was established during the launch, for which Prof. Ben Zhong Tang as the Honourary Director for the research centre. Prof. Deyue Yan was directed as president, and Researchers Xuesi Chen, Jun Lin, Prof. Jiandong Ding, Researcher Mingyuan Gao, Prof. Chunhai Fan, Prof. Zhiyuan Zhong, Researcher Xingjie Liang and Prof. Zhihong Zhang as members of the Academic Advisory Board. Vice-president Xianxing Liu, joined by Prof. Ben Zhong Tang dedicated the plaque unveiling ceremony. All seven research proposals were reviewed by the Academic Advisory Board through a presentation by the chief investigator followed by Q&As.
